Time Flies Canvas

YAY Its FRIDAY!!! Nothing like the weekend coming up to boost anyones creative spirit! Glad you all stop by to join me today! I have a canvas to share with you. The pics will look like a LO, but it is actually a canvas. I gifted this to my MIL for her B-day. This was actually my first picture canvas that I have done. We got a lovely 12x12 canvas in our Mixed Art Dec KOM at Flying Unicorn (also some yummy CE chippies too!! WEEE). I spied a gorgeous sketch done by Alda a while back and well with the papers the chippies the tones.. It SPOKE to me! LOL So I had to play.. It was a need really.. LOL Here is the Canvas..

The YUMMY Distressed Chicken Wire Border was perfect backdrop and mingled into the layers as well. I used them mostly raw with a bit of gesso here and there.
The Antique clock is one of my personal faves of CE. I get more than one of these little dandies when I place a order, and my radar has picked up on the new clocks that has come into the store as well! Be still my scrappy heart!! LOL Ok got a little side tracked.. hehe Back to the yummy Clock.. My treatment on this one was fun to do! I gessoed the whole piece and let it dry. Then I carefully using my exacto knife cut the center of the clock out and sanded the edges to give them a smooth look. I misted with some Lindy's Moonshadow mist Golden Doublooms on the outside piece and the face. Heatset then painted around the clock part in black with a little black inker (this little inker gets used A LOT! :) ). I also used the black inker to paint my clock hands. I used some dark pp to line the back piece and then popped up the clock face using a pop dot. The little clock and ribbon was in the kit and made great additions to the whole piece. How about a close up..

This canvas was super fun to make! Enjoyed playing every second! Thank you for joining me today and have a awesome weekend!!
