Hi all! Sharing my OTP from the Flying Unicorn Jan KOM. This month we got a super cute jewelry box. I thought I would go a little on the shabby side with it. I tend to bounce around on things I create as far as style. I love it all really. But it seems shabby, romantic, and vintage is where I fall back too. This little box has it all. Here is a pic of the top..
I used 2 different Damask stencils. One from Memory box (in bg done in brown) and the other is a Prima Mask (white molding paste) with sprits of the Shimmerz "Chocolate Brownie and some Inklingz in "Blue My Mind". The box is covered inside and out with Riddersholm's "Vintage Venture" Collection that I fussy cut and covered the box with. The gorgeous bird bath is Prima and I also did a bit of stamping with the Yummy Bo Bunny stamps that came in the kit. The light blue flowers are Prima and the rest is Petaloo Botanica Collection. Let me show ya a few more views..
I used the largest stamp at the back and distress all my edges. wanted a little bit of a warn look.
The front has a bow and in the center of the bow a handmade tassel. There was a bit of self adhering trim that came in the kit that I used around the center that I covered in gesso. I edged the whole piece with a Prima little inker. More Petaloo flowers on the bow to complete it. I tossed around the idea of feet.. But ended up not using them. I liked how it looked without them. This was a cool project to play with this month. I always enjoy our OTPs and look forward to them each and every month!
Thanks for stopping by today!
