My New Journey

Hi all, I know I haven't been posting much lately. Its because I have been going back to church and getting things right in my life. I am giving everything up and following Jesus. I know there are many that will think I am nuts, but I don't care. What matters to me is where I will spend eternity.

I have put my art above everything. My God, and my family. No longer will that happen. What matters to me now is how close I can get to my Lord, before he comes again. Everything that is going on in this world tells me that is going to be real soon.

My final post is something I was working on. I had ask the Lord to help me with my Art. Prayed for it. So he did. But not the way I had expected it to go. What I had in mind and what he did was 2 different things. I have experienced a lot through this last post. I have also seen lots of changes since I started getting myself right with him. For the good. This is the project that I was inspired to do by him.

The suitcase is me and where I am going with my life. You pack your bags to go on any trip? What do you put in it? Well our soul is the same thing. What you put in it is where you will end up.

You choose things of the world our bible tells us that you will end up in torment. Which we all know is Hell.

Romans 6:23 (KJV)
For the Wages of sin is Death; But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Matthew 6:24 (KJV)
No Man can serve two masters: For either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and Mammon.

I had been giving my all to my art. Not that Art is bad. But when you put anything above him it is. I will hold this in my heart forever.

I choose Jesus, for in the bible it tells us that he is the only way to eternal salvation. He says if we deny him before man, our God will deny us. I don't want that to happen to me, so this is as personal as I can get with this message.

Romans 8: 1,2 (KJV)
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit. For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

John 3: 16 (KJV)
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believe in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

I love the Lord with all my heart and wish nothing more to see all my friends and family in heaven with me. I wish nothing more than peace and love for you all. That is the reason I am sharing this message. I did get what I prayed for. He did help me with my art, and I am giving it just like he gave it to me. Plain and simple. No fluff.

Playing with Chippies in a new way!

Hi everyone!!! Stopping by to share a little quick thought with ya! Ok so I had a thought.. Ya scary me thinking huh?! LOL I have thought on many occasions about how would I turn a chippy into a stamp... Not only could you use it for dimension on your creations but you could actually use it as a stamp. How about getting more bang for your buck! I think I have figured it out.. Just a couple of items ya need actually.. Cardboard, foam sheet (this protects the cardboard and gives a little cushion to the chippy), a chippy you would like to use as a stamp, and some gel medium, and glue.

Here are a couple of pictures for visuals..

The Flying Unicorn store can hook ya up with chippies and Gel Medium if you are in need of those things.. Foam sheets can be found at wally world.. Cardboard is pretty easy to comeby.

Now to prep the chippy for use you will need to coat it with Gel Medium. Be sure your application is smooth and no excess in areas not needed or shown. Glue your foam to the cardboard and then the chippy to it. Ta Da! Ready made stamp.. Now grab some paint or ink and play!

Oooo this is gonna be FUN!!

Seeeee I told ya!! Hummm needs more!

Yup I think it is pretty complete now ;)

Just think of all those excess chippy pieces just waiting to be made into a stamp!

Got those wheels a turning now huh! :) Have a great day all!

Springtime Play with Petaloo

Hello all of you Petaloo fans out there in cyber world!! I am here today to share a little project I made using some little Wal-mart finds. My mom found them for me to use. Well they wasn't that pretty.. Nice.. But not that pretty.. So what is a girl to do?! PETALOO!! Yup! Petaloo makes every project wonderful and come to life. From the flowers to the trims and everything in between!! I enjoyed playing sooo much! Here is the project...

FullSizeRender (6)

The little arrangement was just eggs and a few sprigs of plastic foliage. The base was just burlap.. Ahhh Burlap! Well Petaloo has gorgeous Burlap Blooms!! Oh and trims too!! I added a little bit of the cream Burlap trims with some of the Crochet Lace and trims in cream as well. This made the base look soooo much better! Love the delicate antique feel it has now. I also use the Lace trims in taupe on the top of the little bird house. This tied in well with the base. All that was left to do was remove those plastic sprigs and a egg and add my bird house. I did rearrange the burlap that was already in the arrangement, this was a perfect bed for my birdhouse to go on top of.. Next was the super fun part of adding in the gorgeous Burlap and Canvas blooms!! I couldn't forget the sweet little butterfly either! He was the cherry on top of a sweet spring arrangement! Here are a few close ups of the details..
