Color Punch Tuesday~ Creative Embellishments

Hello all! Hope your week has been off to a great start! I am gonna share a couple of projects today with ya. All about adding color and texture to chippies! The possibilities are endless and there is fun around every corner. First up a card using just about all girls fave color PINK!

I used the Fancy Circle Frame (small one). For the treatment on the frame, I first applied glue and 13arts Glass Microspheres and then applied gesso. Let that dry and added some Silks. before the Silks dried I sprinkled some Stampendous micro glitter in pink ( Fairy Dust ;) ) and edges very lightly with rosebud little inker Trust me when I say this sparkles! LOL Here is a close up..

Yummy Texture!!!! I also used Flying Unicorns Small Art Small Passion KOM using the Authentique "Classique Pretty" collection, along with a selection of Offray Flowers, Flying Unicorn little roses and Prima Dies.

Now LOL this one ya may wanna where some shades to veiw! :) I PLAYED with COLOR on this one!! Not just one color.. Noooooo I played with the Rainbow on this tag!

I used the Yummy Creative Embellishment Steampunk Light bulb and some Small gears. Covered first with gesso then misted with some 13arts Chalk Yellow. After that was dry I also added some Tattered angels glimmer glaze in Yellow. The BG of the Light bulb and papers I used was 7 Dots" Dreamer " Collection. For the Base of the Bulb is some Tim Holtz metal stickers. For the Creative Embellishment Basic Alpha's I used gesso, and then while it was wet I misted with some 13arts in Chalk Yellow, Chalk Burnt Sienna and Chalk Turquoise Light. I did this starting from left to right light to dark no drying in between colors. I wanted the colors to mingle together. Here is a couple of close ups of this one..

That is all from me today! Hope you enjoyed and the rest of your week is fun and colorful!

Flourish Me Crazy~ Creative Embellishments

Hi everyone! Sharing a LO today using a couple of FAVE items from Creative Embellishments! I totally Love the wide selection of Flourishes!! The Stamps are my other dreamy FAVE! I have used them both over and over again and just can't seem to get enough!! Here is the LO that I have done..

I like to cut them apart sometimes. I colored these with Silks and watered down and smudge black 13arts paint to give me highlights. I have used Flourish set 15 here. I have also used the Distressed Chicken Wire stamp in the back ground. Love that little extra umph that it gives to the BG. Here are some closeups..

Hope to see ya playing with some of these amazing chippies!

LO Using Your Art Your Passion KOM July Flying Unicorn

Hi everyone! Back today to show ya a Lo I created using the July KOM. I used a pic of my Cousin again heehe and her new baby girl. I just couldn't resist a Mommy and me LO from a pic I had found from her FB page! LOL The Authentique "Classique Pretty" collection in this kit fit the ticket to the T! Here is the LO..

Arn't they just adorable?!! Awww so sweet!!! :) Here are some close ups..

Again I combined The Main KOM, Mixed Passion, Mixed Art and the Small Art Big Passion to create this LO. With the added addition of some Creative Embellishment Flourishes. I did use one of my fave Prima masks Prima stitches stamps in the BG, along with some Lindy's mist to work with the 13 arts mist in the kit. Lots to smile about playing with these kits. So much variety of goodies to use!!

See ya soon with some more inspo using this kit!

July Challenge with Creative Embellishments!

This months inspiration photo spoke tropical to me. I pulled out some of the tropical colors and played with some pictures of my cousin. Here is the inspiration photo.

We are also doing a joint challenge with Paper Wings this month. All about embossing! Fun Fun!! I used some embossing on my LO with Creative embellishment chippies! Here is my LO.

My Cousin is on a beach taking photos of the final days of her first pregnancy. The beach is all I needed to get me rolling on this LO for the inspo pic!

I used the CE brick stamp in the BG. I actually used it as a mask. Check out my other post for today on how I achieved that. Then I embossed small areas around the CE Antique clock with Lindy's embossing powder. For My flourishes (Flourish set 20) I covered in gesso. Dry embossed then wet embossed them with 2 different colors of Lindy's embossing powder and lightly inked the edges with a black little inker. I used the Flying Unicorn KOM July for the rest of the items in the LO. How about a couple of close ups?!

Just love how the embossing sets off those chippies!!

Lots of fun playing with Creative Embellishment products!!! Hope to see you playing along with us!

Mixed Art KOM July~ Flying Unicorn

Hello all you fabby scrappers out in cyber world!! I am gonna show you a canvas today using the Mixed Art KOM July. Canvas some of my fave products to use 13 Arts paints! Some cool Prima resins and I snagged the flowers from the Small Art big passion to use on it as well.

I happen to be a fan of Andy Skinner for a long time now.. Quietly stalking his blog and watching his videos. Then I seen his Splash image transfer tute using these awesome threshold pictures. Well I knew I had to play! LOL I already knew how to do photo transfers. But I wondered how he was achieving his effect with the "splash part". So I watched ever so quietly and intently, to see that part! Well I just happened to have some of the medium that he used, different brand but the same thing basically as floating medium from folk art. I have played with this before when I was taking a liking to painting. It basically is paint but clear. So I strolled through the thresholds that he had and chose to use "Marilyn". Thank you Andy for the thresholds and the awesome tute! :) Now here is my canvas..

Here are some close ups...

The bling is out of my stash. The background paper is from the January KOM (Yes I am still playing with that kit as well!) This was a blast to make I tell ya! :)

Stay tuned for more KOM reveals! :)
