Flying Unicorn Your Passion Your Art Mixed Art Canvases

Hi all! Sharing a couple of canvases that I made with the Mixed Art KOM. They were a blast to make too! I used most all of the items in the kit to create my BG. My Fave color to create with is blue. This kit was loaded with it too! The Mixed Art was no exception! Here are the canvases together they were made as companion canvases..

I added in some additional items such as the Petaloo flowers and the Creative Embellishment chippies and stamps to go along with the piece. I broke up one of the adornments that came in the kit to make a makeshift door handle and door wreath. Let me show you a close up of each..

Quote Canvas..

I did also add in a little bit of Tim Holtz Distress ink in Peeled paint to go along with the blues in the BG to bring out the green in the Petaloo teastained in green Darjeelings. The Quote says "Every house where love abides and friendship is a guest, is surely home, and home sweet home for there the heart can rest." By Henry Van Dyke. I thought that quote fit the feeling of home that that door represents to me. It actually reminds me of my Nana's front door to her house. Which is a near and dear place to my heart!

Overjoyed With Excitement!!!!

I am soooooo THRILLED!!! Anyone out there that knows me knows I love flowers! So to be asked to join my FAVE flower Company was a dream come true!! Stoked beyond belief that I am now designing for Petaloo!!!!!! Yippie!!! Adore these blooms sooooo MUCH!!!

Green And A Fairy With Creative Embellishments!

Hi all you CE fans out there! Its almost Friday so hang on a little longer! LOL I know I am! Being that this week is the luck of the Irish week I thought my project should be green. Yup green has inspired my project quite a bit! I didn't use a leprechaun though! I played with a fairy, a fairy cameo to be exact. It was a gift to me from a sweet friend Doris Widder here on the team (Thank You Doris!). The BG of the cameo was green and so it being the week of St Patricks Day I thought green would be the way to go! Now of course there is lots of CE too! Here is my project..

I really played with the Creative Embellishment stamps!! They didn't hide from me this time! LOL My BG of the canvas I used Distress Script stamp, Distressed Screen stamp, and on top of my little saying is the Distress crackle stamp! I played with Tim Holtz Distress inks and paints as well as Prima little inkers in the background. I even added in a touch of Silks as splats. On my chippies I covered both the Mini Oval Frame and the Flourish Set 15 with Prima little inkers and a Dew Drop Brilliance in Galaxy Gold. For my Flourish Butterfly set 2, I used both the side facing butterflies and layered them on top of one another after I had painted them both with gesso, Versamagic inker (on the body) and Silks for the wings. In the swirls I added some crystals. How about some close ups?!

I really wanted to create a woodland fairy type scene..

The saying is "Spread your wings and let the Fairy in you fly!" I thought the quote fit the cameo well. The Author is Unknown. I layered Petaloo flowers below the Mini Oval Frame to give the cameo height. Super fun Canvas to make! Here is one last pic of it on a stand..

Flying Unicorn Your Passion Your Art March LO

Hi all! Sharing the last of my March KOM creations with you today! Still playing with my DD selfies. LOL This is one right after she got her hair done at the salon. She sends them to her BF. LOL Its funny and cute! Here is the LO..

I played with the mask from the Main Kit in the BG and used some of the Shimmerz almost grey mist. Trying to keep the focal point on the photos. The title "Smile" is from one of the past kits its a Prima Resin piece. Lots of Petaloo and Prima flowers in this kit! Had to play with them all too!! :)

Easter Card with Creative Embellishments

 Hi everyone! Hope that you have a wonderful Monday! Here today to share a Easter card with you! I have been making several of them to get ready for Easter! I have some ready for family, but wanted one that I could give our pastors wife. Creative embellishments have some really gorgeous Crosses and new that was just the ticket to make my Easter card! Love love the detail of them! Here is my card..

 I also used the Easter Egg Frame to place my Cross on top of .. Love how it swirls and has perfect places for the flowers to go. I added a couple of flourish leaf die cuts to accent the swirls with. The treatment that I used on the egg was to simply paint it white and color with a little inker in Garden Grass. For My cross I wanted just a bit of texture to go along with it. So I added some 13 arts micro beads. I painted it first with Gesso. Then covered it with Shimmerz dazzler in Spun Sugar. I highlighted areas with a little inker in blossom tree. I cut out some BG paper to apply to the back. For more color and stability. Really easy to do!
